You will be a core part of the project team and have a central role in fulfilling client engagements, across a range of project types and industries. The role of an associate is different on every project and suits highly adaptable people who thrive on learning new skills and adapting to unfamiliar situations; your day-to-day responsibilities may range from building a complex financial model, to designing and commissioning primary market research, or conducting on-site interviews at client sites around the world.

Alongside project work, associates are expected to contribute to the development of Plural’s business, whether this is participating in white paper creation, taking part in proposal writing and pitching, or helping to improve and refine Plural’s project process and library of tools and frameworks.

We have a full training curriculum, which is intended to equip consultants with the skills they need to succeed in the role. This is supplemented by weekly training sessions on a range of topics, from industry insight sessions delivered by Plural’s partner group, to training on analytical approaches given by analysts or associates.

Key responsibilities:

  • Be a key contributor to project teams during consulting engagements, including corporate strategy, performance improvement, commercial due diligence, and post-merger integration projects
  • Identifying and assessing relevant data sources to support key analyses and recommendations
  • Designing, conducting, and managing in-depth primary and secondary research
  • Lead a work stream for a project
  • Perform complex analyses of financial and operational data, and assessing the strategic implications of these analyses
  • Assist in preparing and delivering client presentations and reports
  • Contribute to Plural’s business development and marketing activities, including assisting in the authoring of white-papers, creation of project proposals and project scopes, and helping to position Plural as the leading strategy consultancy within our sectors
  • Support Plural’s innovative product development initiatives
  • Assist the recruitment process and the development of learning materials for interns and entry-level staff

Qualifications & experience required:

  • Strong academic background
  • Evidence of commercial acumen
  • An open mind and a willingness to learn new skills
  • Two-three years’ working experience, ideally in relevant roles
  • Language skills preferred but not required
