Plural Strategy advises JTB Corp. on its acquisition of Northstar Travel Group
JTB Corp., one of Japan’s leading travel solutions providers, has acquired Northstar Travel Group (NTG), a leading B2B travel industry events, media and information services company, from investment funds managed by EagleTree Capital.
NTG operates iconic B2B travel brands including Travel Weekly, Business Travel News, ALIS, The Meetings Show, and Phocuswright. The company connects a global audience of more than one million professional travel buyers with over 1,500 supplier customers through its comprehensive portfolio of events, digital media, and market intelligence solutions. NTG will continue to operate as a wholly-owned independent subsidiary under its existing management team.
Plural Strategy conducted an assessment of the business plan and forecast across the events and digital media assets. This included a detailed review of travel sector marketing spend outlook, the quality of NTG’s digital media model, strength of its competitive position across different segments and a detailed assessment of AI risk and opportunity.
